WAP

WAP means "Wireless Application Protocol". This protocol specifies a markup language as well as technical details to provide Internet contents on mobile devices. WAP-enabled devices are commonly (newer) mobile phones or Personal Digital Assistants (PDA). You need to have a WAP-enabled account at your provider to use this service. Then you can access Internet contents (nearly) wherever you are.

Please mention: WAP is slow. Therefore Wap contents cannot provide large files. They are reduced to what is minimum information, just to obtain acceptable performance.
