Youth Exchange: Claudia Biazze

Hello, my name is Claudia,

Claudia Biazze I'm 16 years old and Brasilian. I have been 11 months in Nastätten with the Rotary Club St. Goarshausen - Loreley.

Now some words to my exchange year:
The first three months had been very difficult. I had been very homesick, the environment was new and strange, and the German language was difficult to understand and to learn. I often wanted to go back home.

But time passed quickly und I got assimilated and learned German. After five months a had a couple of friends with whom I could have parties or visit concerts or cinema nearly every weekend. I have been very lucky and thought very roughly about Brasil.

I got used to live in Germany. All the trips and friendships with other exchange students were wonderful. That passed quickly ... too quickly.

Today I come back home and it is curious, because I have learned to be on my own. My exchange year was excellent ! I had learned a lot and had seen a lot.

So, if you want to be an exchange student, let me tell you: all whom I met had problems in the beginning, but nobody left before the end of that year.

Don't worry, you too will manage it.
